Position Overview

The Software Engineer, Senior Staff (GUI) will be a key contributor to support the EnChannel Medical 3D-Mapping Software and develop next-generation technologies for cardiac electrophysiology mapping and patient therapy. This Software Engineer will be responsible for innovating, developing software requirements, supplying technical maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting. This role will collaborate with cross functional teams and engineers to implement complex maintainability expectations and drive software delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities   

The following are the major responsibilities needed for the role.  Additional responsibilities, tasks, and duties will be assigned and required as needed.

  • Execute full software development life cycle - requirement capture, architecture, implementation, testing, and support.
  • Implement, refine, and apply software development techniques to ensure that the delivered features meet software integration, performance, and maintainability expectations.
  • Research, test, benchmark, and evaluate new tools and technologies, and recommend ways to implement them in product development.
  • Develop and update software requirements and design documents.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to implement user interface and workflow designs.
  • Participate in code reviews and software verification testing cycles.
  • Maintain compliance with quality system procedures and all regulatory requirements.
  • Works independently, but contributions impact the overall team's objectives. Influences some of the overall project goals.
  • Creates innovative and creative solutions to keep projects on-track and to determine the best practice for new assignments.
  • Maintains a high degree of quality in all work performed.
  • Must be accurate, detailed, committed to high-quality standards, and proactive in finding solutions to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment, collaborating with a cross-functional team

Education, Experience and Skills Required

Below are the minimum skills, formal education, certifications or training, and practical experience required to perform the general functions and duties of the role. 

  • 8+ years of related experience and a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in a scientific/engineering discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding and experience with object-oriented design, patterns and methodologies, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience developing, integrating, and debugging software in multi-threaded/multi-tasking environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development, version control, and project management tools - Git, Jira, ADO, etc.
  • Skilled at managing a significant workload and obtaining positive results, taking on additional responsibility and managing priorities as needed.
  • Must have a good grasp of UML, sequence diagrams, static analysis, and software unit-testing.
  • Proficiency in C# programming language.
  • Good familiarity with MVVM design pattern.
  • Understanding of the WPF framework/Data binding is a plus.
  • Medical device experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate, punctual reports/information, as required, and thoroughly share information with others.
  • Exceptional listening skills with the ability to seek constructive feedback, build relationships, promote teamwork, and remain flexible and open-minded. Able to quickly adapt to change.
  • Capable of following realistic plans, goal setting, resource management, contingency planning, coordinating, and cooperating with others.
  • Experience collaborating in an Agile environment, preferably under ADO

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position located in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by location, additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
