Join our Algorithm team as a Principal Scientist focused on designing, developing, testing, and improving optimization algorithms for our advanced Cardiac Electrophysiology Mapping System. You will develop and refine cutting-edge algorithms, analyze clinical data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the system’s accuracy and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and make a meaningful impact in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.

What You Will Be Doing

• Algorithm Development: (a) Model complex problems mathematically, discover insights, and identify opportunities using statistical, machine learning (ML), and optimization techniques for reconstructing cardiac signals. (b) Design and develop faster numerical solver using optimization and statistical techniques.
• Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with the software engineering team to implement computationally efficient, real-time algorithms and with cross-functional teams.
• Prototyping and Validation: Rapidly prototype algorithmic methods to demonstrate feasibility, validate and refine algorithms using clinical data, and evaluate prototype algorithms from internal and external contributors.
• System Lifecycle Management: Maintain and document design requirements across the system lifecycle while ensuring compliance with quality procedures and regulatory standards.
• Leadership and Innovation: Build consensus among stakeholders, foster a collaborative team environment, and drive innovation through novel methods, strategic thinking, and mentorship of team members.

What We Need

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a scientific/engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
• Knowledge and experience in algorithms, particularly imaging, reconstruction, optimization, and/or inverse problems.
• Ability to solve mathematically complex problems numerically.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ for signal processing, analysis, and algorithm development.
• Resilient, adaptable, and able to work under pressure with a strategic mindset.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position located in California.
